This page explains what you agree to when you tick the consent box on Car4Pro’s Finance Application. Please read it before you submit. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are and Key Terms
“Car4Pro”, “we” and “us” mean Car4Pro Inc., Richmond Hill, Ontario. Car4Pro arranges and submits finance applications; it does not lend money. On this page:
- “Partner Dealer” means a licensed motor vehicle dealership, including dealerships affiliated with Car4Pro, that receives your application, submits it to Lenders or sells you a vehicle;
- “Lender” means a bank, credit union, captive finance company or other financial institution to which your application is submitted or that provides your financing, including anyone to whom your loan is later assigned; and
- “Credit Reporting Agency” means a credit bureau such as Equifax Canada or TransUnion Canada.
2. Accuracy of Your Information and Solvency Statement
By submitting your application, you certify that all information you have provided is true, accurate, complete and not misleading, and you understand that Partner Dealers and Lenders will rely on it. False or misleading information may result in your application being declined or an approval being withdrawn, and may have other legal consequences.
You also state that you are not currently in a bankruptcy, consumer proposal or other insolvency proceeding, and that no such proceeding is pending or anticipated, except as you have disclosed in your application.
3. Authorization to Obtain and Share Credit Information
You authorize Car4Pro, the Partner Dealers and Lenders to which your application is submitted, and their respective affiliates, agents and service providers, to:
- (a) obtain, verify and review your credit report and credit score from any Credit Reporting Agency;
- (b) collect, verify and exchange your personal, employment, income and financial information with any financial institution, creditor, employer or other person with whom you have, or propose to have, financial dealings, as reasonably required to assess and arrange your financing; and
- (c) disclose your application and information to Partner Dealers, Lenders and any other person reasonably required in connection with your financing or vehicle purchase.
Hard credit inquiry. You understand that these requests are hard inquiries. They are recorded on your credit file, may be visible to other lenders, and may temporarily lower your credit score. Your application may be submitted to more than one Partner Dealer or Lender, and each may make its own inquiry. You may ask us at any time which Partner Dealers and Lenders have received your application.
Social Insurance Number (SIN). Providing your SIN is optional. If you provide it, it is used only to verify your identity and match you to the correct credit file. Not providing it may delay or limit your options.
How long this lasts. This authorization applies to this application and any financing arranged from it. It stays valid for 90 days from the date you submit, unless you withdraw it sooner (see section 5). If financing is funded, the Lender’s own agreement and privacy terms govern its further use of your information.
4. How We Use and Protect Your Information
We use your personal and credit information to assess your eligibility, arrange and administer your financing, verify your identity, detect and prevent fraud, communicate with you about your application and comply with the law. We may also use it to establish and service your account with us, as permitted by law.
We use reasonable safeguards, keep information only as long as needed for these purposes or as the law requires, and do not sell personal information. Our service providers, Partner Dealers and Lenders may store or process information inside or outside Canada. Our general privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy; for credit and financing information, this page applies in addition to it.
5. Withdrawing Your Consent
You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us (details in section 10) with your full name and phone number.
- Before a credit report is requested: if you withdraw before we, a Partner Dealer or a Lender has requested your credit report, no credit inquiry will be made under this consent and we will stop processing your application.
- After a credit report is requested: an inquiry that has already been made cannot be reversed or removed from your credit file by us, and withdrawal does not affect information already obtained or shared, or any approval or loan already in place. You may still withdraw consent to any further inquiries or disclosures, subject to legal and contractual restrictions.
If you withdraw, we may not be able to continue arranging financing for you.
6. Financing Terms You Should Know
- Pre-approval is not a commitment. It is not a loan offer. Any approval depends on the Lender’s final review, verification of your information and the vehicle you choose. You are not required to accept an offer or buy a vehicle.
- Assignment of your loan. If you are approved and proceed, the Partner Dealer may assign, transfer or sell your financing agreement to a Lender, and a Lender may assign it further.
- Separate from the vehicle purchase. Any financing agreement is a separate legal transaction from the vehicle purchase agreement. Questions or disputes about the vehicle (for example its condition, warranty or delivery) are to be raised with the seller. Unless your loan agreement or applicable law says otherwise, your obligation to make payments to the Lender continues according to the loan agreement while any such matter is resolved. Nothing on this page limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law.
- Direction to pay. When you sign your final financing and purchase documents, you authorize and direct the Lender to pay the approved financed amount directly to the Partner Dealer on your behalf. Once the funds have been paid, this direction cannot be revoked.
- Rates and fees. The interest rate, fees and other terms are set by the Lender and will be shown in your loan agreement before you sign.
- Compensation. Car4Pro and Partner Dealers may receive fees or commissions from Lenders or from each other in connection with financing arranged through your application.
7. Optional: Marketing Messages
Separate from everything above, you may choose to receive promotional emails, text messages and calls from Car4Pro Inc. (Richmond Hill, Ontario; info@car4pro.com; +1-647-646-7252) about vehicles, financing and related products and services. This is optional and is given through a separate checkbox on the application. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our messages or by contacting us. Your choice does not affect your application, and we will still send messages needed to process it.
8. Co-Applicants and Other People
If your application includes information about a co-applicant, spouse or anyone else, you confirm that you have their permission to share it and that you have given them access to this page. A co-applicant may also be asked to give their own consent.
9. Electronic Consent and Language
By ticking the consent box and submitting your application, you confirm that you have read and understood this page, and you agree that your electronic consent has the same effect as a handwritten signature. You may save or print this page for your records. A Farsi translation is available for convenience; if there is any difference, the English version prevails.
10. Your Rights and How to Reach Us
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask a question or make a complaint about how it is handled. If we cannot resolve your concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
